I am selling my 91-92 Fender Prodigy 4 string made in USA bass guitar. The Prodigy Strat was not super highly regarded but the more rare bass is a fantastic bass. The active circuitry has the most clean headroom of any bass I have ever played. It has a slim jazz neck profile and a combination of Jazz and Precision active pickups. I have taken great care of this bass. It has stacked knobs for pickup blend and tone circuitry. There are a wide variety of classic Fender tones available. It is super quiet and I have recorded with it and it sounds great for that as well. The finish has no chips, just faint front playing marks. This is a great playing and gigging bass. $450 cash plus shipping. Flip, don't you play one of these? Dave

I hardly play it anymore, but it surely is a nice bass. I must take it to practice sometime soon (just fixed the (Alembic) electronics set on it) It has a Poplar body and an extremely slim neck, makes it (at least mine) extremely lightweight. Whenever I pick mine up I'm remembered of how nice that neck feels :-) Funny detail: Mine (N1 000487) doesn't have the skunk stripe on the back of the neck. As you can see, I've made your almost mint Prodigy one rarer Good luck with the sale! |
