I have a 1980 Fender Lead II guitar that I don't play. It's in good shape as far as playability but it had the bad finish problems from the get-go. I got it ~1983 in a trade and the finish was already cracked. I've heard it was pretty common for these instruments. It's been modified with a G&L Tremolo (installed by Corner Music in 1983 or 84, Grover tuners, and a Gibson or DiMarzio PAF type humbucker (installed in 1983 or 84). The pick up is from the late 70's or early 80's? I can't remember which it was - I traded the single coil pu for the humbucker at a local guitar shop. It was a used pu and simply don't remember which one I got. The tremolo stays in tune well and floats (so it dive bombs and go up too). The body is ash and is heavy for it's small size. the body is very comfortable to play due to it shape. These were made in America and were only made between 1979 and 1982. I'm asking $650 + Shipping at cost. I comes with a non Fender hard case. I'm also open to interesting trades??? Fender Jazz, GK 700RB, Fender Telecaster (USA), G&L ASAT (USA). I'm willing to trade up w/ money added or item + money too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fender_Lead_Series Stephen
