Hi Folks. I have a beautiful Wal MkII 5 string that I am interested in trading for an older Alembic Series I or II (34" scale/std point or omega). If you are interested, I can post more pics and provide more info. Thanks! urmsoniac@comcast.net

I dont suppose it's passive is it? I'm not in a position to buy your bass or trade, but a good friend of mine who is on here regularly would probably be interested if it is passive. Thanks. |

No, it is "very" active. Wal is known in particular for it's great electronics. The onboard preamp is very versatile, sonically. |

Trade is done, thanks to longhorncat! Just had an excellent experience trading this Wal for his '76 Alembic Series I Long Scale (76-504). Extremely helpful with sharing his knowledge with the logistics of shipping and protocols with internet instrument trading, as this was my 1st such experience. If you are a newbie to internet instrument trading, this is the guy to do business with! He also went the extra mile to make sure I understood what the Series I Long Scale was about and that I would be making a sound choice (Very much appreciated). Bass arrived in excellent condition with great care done in the packaging. This is my first Alembic and couldn't be happier! Thanks again Bill!

Bill Urmson has been great to work with. You guys need to search youtube to hear his serious chops. I was happy to help get Bill into the Alembic family. His packing was also spot on and his communication top notch. That and my new Wal sounds fantastic. (Message edited by longhorncat on September 18, 2012) |
