Nice looking Zebrawood Series guitar up on GBase at Retrofret Vintage Guitars for what would appear to be a reasonable price. Looks to be in great shape other than what 's described as a small stress crack in what appears to be a somewhat unusual headstock style for Alembic. http://www.gbase.com/gear/alembic-1974-natural-oil-varnish |

The listing says all original, but the tan HX makes me think the black p/ups may be newer. Also, are there no strap buttons? Though I assure it's my bank account, not either of these things, that keeps me from grabbibg it - sweet guitar! Peter |

I've seen Alembics with flush mounted Dunlop strap locks. I can't tell from the pictures if this is the case here or not. Keith |

Does anyone know what became of Dave 'marmaduke' Dawson's guitar? It was 6 in line, but I don't recall what woods were used..... Nice guitar, nice price, I wish there were pics of the crack... |

That would be John "Marmaduke" Dawson; I don't know where his is, but this one isn't it - note different grain & vine inlay Peter |

John "Marmaduke" Dawson passed in 2009. We opened for NRPS in early 90s. I was lucky enough to get Dawson to sign my beat up old NRPS song book at that gig. Great songwriter! |
