Hey Everyone,

I'm trying to put the final pieces together for my rig and I am very much in need of an SF-2. If anyone has got one in very good shape that needs a new home, please email me at AdamAlembic@yahoo.com.

I'm also looking for a couple of 3-space racks to split up my gear for easier carrying. Email me if ya got any to get rid of.

C'mon guys...

I know they are great, but SOMEBODY has to have an SF-2 which isn't being used. Don't be a tone-hog, share with your Alembician brother!!

Please?? Pretty please??

Hi... Hang in there, they pop up quite frequently,
once I was ready to buy one there were none to be had, it took me like 2 months to find a nice used one (Im not saying it will take you that long). But it seems used prices/demand for Alembic Preamps and the SF2 are going up.
Keep your eye on Bass classifeds, thats where i found mine.

One just popped up on bassgear.com priced at $325; the owner says it's never been gigged.

It's mine! Should be shipped out tomorrow and I guess coming from NJ I should have it by Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. To quote Hollis, "Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy!"

I can't wait!

Now if anyone out there has a QSC PLX 3402, or a comparable power amp that can push at least 1000W per side at 4 ohms, drop me a line. I'm also still looking for a couple of 3-space racks if there are any floating around that could use a new home.

Thanks again to Echo and KFS for helping me to add an integral part to my rig.

Cool!
Come down and let me baby-sit that Distillate for a while and we'll call it even. (laughing).
Persistant lil' snit, aren't I?
Seriously--we should have an upstate Alembic gathering sometime soon.

Adam:

Congratulations! You're going to wonder how you could ever play without it. My bass player won't let me use mine, he HAS to have it. I let him because in 20 years of playing together his bass never sounded so good, especially on jams.

Ha ha...

Well I don't know about baby-sitting, but you're welcome to try her out whenever we arrange the upstate gathering.

Plus I'd love to get a chance to plug that graphite-neck SII into my 1800W of custom cabs (my 212 and 210), as soon as I have the right gear to power them, that is. It would be terrible to underpower such awesome cabs, so I have been unplugged while I've been fundraising for a new power amp... Unplugged is great, but it just doesn't shake the foundation the way I like it...

Bill,

Your post snuck in there while I was typing...

Very generous of you to let your bass player steal yours, at least until you can get the "Nikki Sixx" one into working order. I have always loved the tone out of my Distillate and I can only imagine how sweet it will be with the addition of the SF-2. Thanks for the positive thoughts!

Adam
