Ciao, Italia! I miss Italy. It's been way too long since I've been there. My mother lived in Pietra Santa for 5 or 6 years making a sculpture (http://www.amherst57.org/members/frostsculp.htm) So my wife and I visited almost every year. We miss it. Anyway, welcome to Alembic land! What year Starfire are you looking for? What's your budget? |

My suspicion is that the first Warwick will be midrangy sounding without much fundamental. That's my experience with their instruments using that wood combination. The second one might be a bit better. Both are long scale, which is a different sound from the classic Starfire. Paul, I'll get to work on pictures. |

This one is a looker. I owned one exactly like it and have regretted letting her go for 3 years now. Mine had a growl like no other bass. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-Guild-Starfire-Bass-Rare-Excellent-Condition-/261126276056?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D3434100152123977357%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D261126276056%26 |

Congrats HiWatt. I understand the green ones are collectible, so I'd be careful about doing any permanent mods to it. |
