Not a bad price for Europe. if it was longscale and had 5 strings I'd be on it in a flash.

I bought the bass yesterday, great deal, nearly flawless (only 1 spot u can see on the upper horn, where a preowner made a little whole for a screw, not a big deal, i think it is fixable). This bass has red side dots and sounds awesome, it´s still set up with A D G C strings, so the bass sounds 100% like Stanleys piccolo. The price was unbeatable, good deal for a seriesII.

It is excellent to hear that you are so pleased in purchasing your bass. May you have countless pleasure filled hours of immersing yourself in the low frequencies! .....I still do! May the low sound waves be with you!

indeed, the guy who sold it to me is totally happenin´, he is a good player too and has a nice little collection of very unique instruments, we spent a lot of time together playin´and talkin´ after me driving 7 hours to his house (near Antwerpen). Then i drove back to Berlin; at the end 14 hours in the car just to pick up the bass, it was worth it!

I made today the first recordings with this baby in a professionell studio, awesome! I already played there over the years my other 3 alembics (2 series I/long scale and a custom model/ medium scale with EMW package on board) and the producer said, this one is far the best he ever heard.

I just packed a big package of songs recorded with my 2 series I (75 & 77,long scale) into drop box, who´s interested can log in to drop box under my name;mailadress:klinkepeter@freenet.de ,
password: maulwurf, if it doesn´t work, let me know, i´ll send u an invitation. These are all professionel recordings for a major producing company in berlin, my favorite one´s are the "black pony" tracks, we took like 4 hours to set up the bass sound using a combination of direct input plus my rig (2 marshall hybrid 400w amps feeding a 4x10 and a 18 cabinet, alembic pre amp) picked up by as far as i remember 5 or 6 mics. Amazing sound, actually the best sound i ever had on a recording, so have fun listening!
