$1k for a Series II 5 string? I'd buy it in a heartbeat, but something tells me it would never show up.

Hijacked accounts I suspect. As soon as I saw the "Contact me first" I said fraud.

I love it. This bass has got to be referred to the people who administer the Guinness Book of world Records as the Bass that has been most used in an attempt to scam people. It pops up at least 6-8 times a year on EBay. I hate to be the guy or gal who really owns this bass. By now I would think that it would be impossible to sell via either EBay or Craigslist if the same or a similar photo was used.

What's even more funny is that if you follow the links to the site that was hijacked, it turns out that it sells cookie jars and Christmas ornaments. I figure I'd need a pretty big tree on which to hang a long-scale Series bass.

I missed out on this one from the original owner. It was one of two I regret that got away.

Sorry about forgetting the link but not much has changed other than the account they are using.

Whoever has hijacked the account seems to like the $12.95 for a price.

The fellow has expanded his inventory.....

I love the categories of goods he is selling down the left side of the screen. All of the musical instruments can be found under "Other". This guy needs to be banned from the site.

Unbelievable that this hack cracks so many accounts. Maybe results of... successful email phishing ?? public computer snooping ?? worms that collect keyboard entries from the browser ?? :-( an unusual group of things that we need to defend against. Too bad these disruptive energies aren't used in more constructive manners.

Maybe its actually his bass lol. Would certainly eliminate the chance of a board member coming forth and saying "hey, thats my bass, and my living room!"
