Greetings all,

I have two Alembic basses for sale - I need the money to cover other music project expenses and have not played these in a while. They are beautiful instruments - there has simply been little call for me playing bass of late, and constant work playing guitar. I've owned them since 1996/97, and purchased them from the House of Guitars in Rochester, NY.

Were it not for the project needs mentioned, I'd not be parting with them.

Photos of the two can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/87064000@N03/sets/
(note - make sure you copy the whole string and paste into your browser address line so as to get you to the correct location)

I'm asking $4200 for the 6 string Europa, and $2300 for the 4 string fretless Elan. The numbers respectively are "discussable" within reason. Alternatively, if interested, I'd be willing to sell the two together for $5500.00, and that number is "firm" since there is a savings adjustment included.

The price includes case as shown (of course) and fully insured Fedex ground shipping, within the continental U.S. only.

Serious inquiries only please. I prefer PayPal only, and will ship upon received, confirmed, cleared payment. At the time of the transaction, I'll provide documentation indicating the respective serial number and its transfer of ownership, so as to protect the buyer's interest while the transaction is in flux.

I'll leave the greater detail to discussion with any interested party.

Thanks and Best regards,

Rob (a.k.a. Moribund)

Not to put too fine a point upon it, but the fretless 4 is an Elan.

As Adriaan has kindly pointed out, I have erred on the stated model of the 4 string fretless (I simply bought it on first site way back when, and never researched), and it is correctly an Elan. My apologies to all for any confusion.
