I have 2 old ones like that from the early 1970's . Mine are Alembic. "Stars Guitars " also made similar " facsimiles ' of these when they moved into 60 Brady St. after Alembic relocated. |

I visited San Francisco in 1980 to see the Dead and visit some friends. I think went to Stars Guitars. |

Stars Guitars moved from Brady St to 818 Folsom St. in the early 1980's a few doors down from Modulus Graphite . |

So I guess I was there. I was in SF in Oct 80 to see the Dead at the Warfield. I remember a music store that sold Alembic parts and stuff. At that point I had just acquired my first Alembic. It was a birds eye maple Short Scale SI, I think the serial was 74-49. It's around on the forum somewhere. |
