In doing this post, I have stopped and restarted it several times, because I know I will NEVER find another bass as perfect as this one. I am a long-scale bass player. This bass plays like you are playing an air guitar to me. No effort, at all. In my current condition, I do not play much these days, anyway, and this bass just does not even get 15 minutes a week any more. It is still in like-new condition, minus the slight rub-off of some of the gold on the logo of the neck pickup. There is zero play ware anywhere else on the bass, so the first owner must have had a style where he rubbed his finger right over the logo constantly when playing. Even the case looks brand new.
I am not hard-up for money, so cheap this bass will not be sold for. Reasonable offer would be $5,000 in the current market, especially considering this bass is the only perfect one I will ever see on the planet, probably. There is nothing that does not scream Alembic quality about this bass. It is a shame for me to just use this bass for eye candy, but that has become its fate in my care, so I will consider passing it along to a new custodian who can utilize it more as it should be. Questions? Ask. It is a shame to sell this bass, but a shame to keep it, too.
