Here is a sweet looking 2009 cocobolo thru neck Neck Orion 4 at Bass Direct for £2000

http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Alembic_Orion_4.html

It's only about 1/2 hour drive from where I live so if anyone wants me to check it out for them. I'm happy to do so. Cocobolo is very seductive wood and if it had two filters i would be trading in my Elan 4 for it.

Cheers

I have one of these and upgraded her to Signature electronics :-) (my fretless)
This bass came from the American guitar shop in Tonbridge, they still have the five string version for sale.

@fc...I just looked online. Did I miss it? It's not on the website? Are you talking about the spalted fretless of yours? If I can get a 5 like that, I'm on it! Help a brotha out!

Here's the American guitar shop site with a five string Coco Bolo version: http://www.americanguitarsuk.com/bassshop/alembicB.php
They sold some more with this body shape, I think there are some on the Alembic myspace page: here
My Spalted Maple also came from that store (the American guitar store) and has the same body shape.

Flip ,
Thanks for the link. Custom Alembic Jazz Bass stock #1609 really "caught my eye" . A lined fretless like that would make my day ! That would be simply Irresistible ______

I have no experience with Bass direct.
The American guitar store was easy to deal with, they accepted my best offer (incl shipment) and I had the bass in a little less than a week.
