I bought this setup used a few years back and had them on a Fender Precision until I sold the bass to a friend (I put the original Fender pickups and electronics on it when I sold it). They really changed the character of that bass! I replaced one of the original Clarostat pots with a like-value round pot and the dual Clarostat pot works fine, but if you twist it, it will spin clear around. You can feel the detent but you can push past it. It still works fine when you do though. The pickups have wear at two of the mounting holes (see photo) but they still mount fine anyway. Anyway, this has been sitting in my parts drawer for a couple years and I am thinking of selling the setup. Anyone have an idea what it is worth? The buyer will need to be a little handy with guitar electronics. Thanks, Dave  |
