Selling this and hoping to eventually get a Series 1 or 2 and I am open for trading. I recently bought this from the original owner who very impresssively cared for this bass. The condition is excellent, almost mint. The third pic down was with a flash to highlight the figure of the wood.
I want to sell it because the neck is too fat for me to play comfortably.

Ok, some additional info. This medium scale Spoilers' serial# is 87S4338 and its' case is the original one with the keys too.
Besides the Series basses I'm also interested in a Signature or Brown bass. I've never played any other Alembic than this Spoiler so I'm not sure of the difference between the Series, Signatures and the Brown basses. But man they are all beautiful. Mostly, that is. I'm up for a trade and yes I expect to throw in a dollar or two.
I'm asking $2300 for this bass. If this is a fair price I'll know soon enough, I'm sure.
Right now I have a Carvin LB70P. The neck is very nice and the sound is killer. After having played this Spoiler I can see the difference in quality though. At least I think I can but am excited about getting one of my Alembic wants.

Welcome to the forum, shame to have to sell a lovely bass. Have you thought of keeping the bass and having the back of neck shaved down and re-profiled by a luthier?
That would improve playability and probably not be too costly expensive.

You'll never get what that bass is really worth in tone and quality(and $$ value). The used bass market isn't fair at all to the seller, especially with Alembic products. As a buyer, I'm perfectly happy to get any used Alembic at a good price...I just preach the word on here to make up for not getting it new from the company.

Very nice bass you have there. I'd just save up for the Series...

Beautiful bass, but I don't think I've seen a Spoiler go for that much. I paid $1600 for mine, played it for a couple years, then sold it for the same.

I think this Alembic looks so Awesomely sweet and I'm sure the pure Alembic tone and Quality makes it worth the asking price.

Its looks really clean, like its in near mint condition.

I cant wait to get my chance to become an Alembic owner.
