You guys know the one... I haven't decided to sell but I am preparing for a move. I am checking to see what kind of interest there may be in the Birdseye maple Series I. This guitar is in very good condition with no issues that I am aware of.
If you are interested, drop me a line. I am serious but am not determined to sell. Check my profile for a photo or ask for more.

Barry:

I might be interested in your guitar. I am curious, though, about the vintage. I've seen you post it as both 72-73 and a 1973 model. I suspect the "72-73" meant sometime in 1972-1973 as the serial number chart shows number 73 would have been built in 1974. So what is the serial number and any idea how much you would be asking? And any interest in trades?

Bill, tgo

I was trying to find the thread. Rick said first 20 ... Mica said maybe 13... then 13 showed up. It does not have a serial number. Not altered although never pulled electronics out and all to look under it. It was thought to be made in 72 but could have been early 73.

Not interested in trades. Literally moving. Trying to pare down the number of guitars moving. Don't have a price in mind...not trying to retire but it isn't an ebay sale. Just a friendly transaction ... what's it worth?

Hi Count. Sorry. This is a six string guitar. Not a bass. Yes one of the odd birds. A photo is in my profile and I would certainly post more photos if you would like. Best

I don't really have one. Looking for a reasonable offer. I recognize that it's a somewhat collectable guitar...and I really like it... but it isn't being used often. I don't plan to list it on ebay. Don't need to get rid of it. Not looking to get rich... not giving it away. What's it worth? :-)

Hi Barry,

I think your Guitar's serial number is 20 to 30's.
The square shape tailpiece is very eary version (arround No. 10).
No. 40's has mustache shape tail.
PF-5 circuit was started No. 27 (I don't know early 20's in my archive) to No. 47.
The center battery cavity on the top is No. 20's to 52 spec. (except No. 16 SSB proto)

Eiji
