Proof that at least one person in Australia is on drugs.

That's a little unfortunate. No breaks on the neck, though.

Although I can't be too hipocritical bacause I've modified one of my alembics, this does not seem a tasteful modification. I wonder if it's the same one that appeared on you tube a while back.

Brutal.

I wouldn't wish that on any instrument - especially an Alembic.

Maybe the seller is charging more because of the trendy "relic" treatment, similar to what several major instrument makers are currently doing - ?

I think this is the same guitar I was thinking about. It looks similar and same year and same country, Australia in the advert and you tube video

hahaha!! Wow I needed a laugh!

Okay now I'll back off... the guy obviously has no Idea what he has (or I should say had) and why they merit their current pricetags, and how everything he did to it has essentially nullified that value, aside from the beautifuly crafted wooden shell in which those unfortunate humuckers now lay... factor in the fact that he was also unaware that if the thing was in mint and original condition it still would be about $2000 less than his asking price, and then you get what we have here...

I'm afraid, Sam, that I could not resist the urge to click the e-mail button on the listing & tell him pretty much exactly that; doesn't make me a Bad Person, does it?

Its not impolite to educate someone, as long as its not in a rude or condescending manner. We were all noobs at one point or another.
