Looking for a used Alembic guitar, preferably in the $1500 price range. Ideally it would be 24.5"-25" scale and a hardtail. I wouldn't rule out any model or wood combination without taking a look, and I might go a little bit higher for the right instrument. I am a bass player looking for something nice to noodle on. If I were a guitar player by trade, I'd buy a nice custom like I am doing on the bass side at the moment. The guitar will be played regularly, so no worries about an old workhorse ending up in a case under someone's bed. Thanks- Bob |

Still looking - taxes weren't as bad as I thought they'd be so I could go a few dollars higher. If you have or see anything that might go under $2K, let's talk. Thanks- Bob |

Thanks, Bill. The seller contacted me prior to the auction to try for a direct sale at a price in the middle. I am not really into the Orion for the 25.5" scale and the electronics. It does look like a pretty nice guitar, so I hope it finds a good home. I can't say that I've played an Orion guitar, but the specs on the Skylark look more interesting to me. If it were a shorter scale Orion, I might still have been interested, though. I just miss the feel of my old (stolen) Les Paul Custom Lite prototype. I have a strat sitting around for noodling now, and I am just not as comfortable with it. Could be the scale, could be the maple board, who knows, but I think the scale is at least part of it. In any case, I am still looking, that Orion just isn't it for me. -Bob |
