Alembic refers to this as MSG - Medium Scale Guitar. It not only has a smaller body than the standard point, but also has the "Gibson" scale length of 24 3/4" as opposed to the "Fender" scale of the standard point body guitars - 25 1/2". These have been going on eBay in the $2500-$3500 range, with perhaps up to $4000 for a truly unique example. Rudy's is a great shop, one of the few old 48th street shops still left. They do tend to ask top dollar for their vintage instruments. The last time I was there, around two years ago, they had several pre-CBS strats for which they were asking $40-$50K.
