Too bad the Koa is all covered in black.... A well played example, must have been irresistable and hard to put down! |

It originally had a Kahler Wiggle Stick(!), so he had a BadAss countersunk into that rattle-can paint job. You know, sometimes I wish I could drink. A lot. J o e y |

Well , ___ Depending on how good the route job looks after you strip off all of the paint there might still be hope to be able to inlay a nice looking piece of wood and then installing an Alembic bridge and tail piece. While I was at it I would just go ahead and instal the bridge with the brass block. Then after all of that you could always do a proper paint job if the wood work does not look appealing . Just thinking ______. |

That's what I was thinking, Wolf; I bet the good folks in Santa Rosa could come up with an artistic way to do a fill (was also wondering how much it would cost to change the head to a crown). |

Just FYI, this bass was reposted over the weekend so it's still available for any adventurous soul with a "project Alembic" budget. |

Peter, I know they could do a great fill. They did that with my old Series I (78-1180) when I had them cut an omega to replace the point. They had to fill in the battery compartment and did it with a beautiful piece of ebony.
