All -

Someone needs to rescue this poor puppy. Unfortunately, I have met my "Alembic limit" and without an additional license from the Sheriff, I can't catch any more.

That looks like one of those too good to be legit deals.

If it is legit, somebody go get it!

Wow..... Would love to see someone here get this and clean it up. I'd go for it, but must save funds to complete another project.

Offer him $2600 and ship it to Santa Rosa. Say you spend 5 grand on it. You're in it now (everything works, cosmetics repaired, by Alembic, almost good as new) for $7600. For a 'Factory Refurbished' grahite Series 2.

What's not to like, if this is legit?

I've been in touch with the seller, and he sent me a bunch of additional pictures. It seems to be legit. His description of how the hole from the original pick-up switch selector is covered is interesting. He said it looks like an inlay of the Alembic logo, which would imply to me perhaps the factory made the change at some point in the past.

He hadn't sold it as of yesterday, but said he had someone coming up from Austin to make him an offer.

Joey, I think you are spot on - I just don't have the time to fool with it, but would love to see a club member get it.

Just curious - did the graphite necks have a truss rod in them?

Looks like I'll be getting this SII, since it's currently on a FedEx truck :-) Hopefully there is not a rock inside the case LOL. Very excited, my first Series.

I will try to pst pictures if I'm able to downsize them enough for this forum since Photobucket doesn't work here.
Chalie, I'm currently using Trace Elliot GP12 smx over an SWR 4x10 Marcus Miller Signature. I'm thinking to try an Alembic SFX-1, we'll see.
I will try the monster and decide with Mica what steps to take to bring it back to its glory, I just hope to get use to it, if not I will move it but I really hope we bond.
