I have a lexicon MPX-1 and R-1 Controller for 325.00. I purchased the TC Electronics G System a few months ago and do not use my Lexicon effects. Both work excellently. I upgraded the MPX-1 a few years ago with the chip (I forgot the name of the chip though). Anyway hit me up if anyone is interested.

These are great! The programming learning curve is a bit steep, but it's my favorite effects unit by far. Can even get a great envelope filter sound (my litmus test for multi FX boxes, and this one really does it for me) and the reverb is the classic Lexicon sound. You can route other effects into the feedback loops of the delays and all kinds of wacky things.

Downside: No spillover when turning off delays and reverbs without setting up a parallel effects patch (did I mention that the routing options are insane?).

I've tried so many options and always come back to this unit. This is a great price what with the upgraded chip and foot pedal. For the experimental player, it's a best in class. Someone snap it up!

Might be interested if you'll provide some technical assistance as to the most effective setup. Currently use no effects other than a super filter for tone more because I'm pretty much the opposite of an electronics wiz (I.e. A blithering fool) than not wanting to. I'll take a look at the on line manual and get back to you within a day.

The MPX-1 is what I use as well, and it's the source of the effects in the tunes I uploaded to soundcloud.

Thanks For the compliments Edwin and Dave! Hammer, I wish I could give you technical advice on how to hook up the MPX to the Superfilter but I sold my superfilter a number of years ago & I use the F1-X. I use two of them one dedicated for bass and the other dedicated for treble and all I have to do is connect the MPX to the Send and Return of my treble F1-X and..Powie! Effects!!! Perhaps Dave or Hammer can provide you the information that you are looking for. I know that you'll love this if you decide to purchase it. I'll try & send photos if you wish.

Thanks!

I didn't know that Columbus Day was still celebrated any more. In Minnesota, schools are still running and so is everything else but at the federal level.

Chalie

Just got it yesterday. You really did an over the top job with the packing. Thanks! That thing could have been dropped out of a plane at 30,000 feet and not suffered any damage.

Unfortunately, I am currently hosting two faculty from India at my house who work on an international grant I have and one of them is staying in my study/studio.... so I won't get a chance to try it out for the next 10 days. It seems every time I make a new purchase something delays me playing with it for the first time. The last time this occurred was over the summer with a 6 string Europa I purchased. It arrived hours after I left for 3 weeks of work in Costa Rica. It's a good thing the country is so beautiful that my mind was taken off what awaited me at home at least for a few minutes each day.
