Hi All,
I'm selling my 1975 Series I since I haven't been playing it and would like it to move onto a great home.
Here's hoping that someone out there will love it as much as I have!
Extras include HSC, rack mounted power supply.

Wow that's beautiful. I have that bass's slightly younger cousin.

That wood combination must be righteous.

Wonder what the AE in the Serial# means...

This bass was on EBay with a price of $7,500 and the auction was pulled, as the owner said "it exceeded the amount EBay allowed them to sell".

Hopefully more information will be forthcoming.

According to the serial number reference pages 'AE' indicates "Alembic Export General".

The various codes can be found here.

Hi all
Sorry, that's my earthlink spam filter filtering people
Not in my address book. I thought I'd be responding to inquiries here not there so apologies for any inconveniences.

From my understanding the AE was a code for export overseas. To my knowledge it's always been in the Western Hemisphere and I've owned it since '85 or '86.

The bass is located in New York.

As far as price, I think this bass is an excellent example of the interesting innovations Alembic was spearheading. It's a low serial #, it's in excellent shape, has a custom flight case, it was reconditioning done by Alembic, it has character and personality and should be played. All offers considered

As to GTRGUY's post.... Yes, I did list this on eBay but pulled it due to the limit set on the Reserve. I didn't feel comfortable with a low reserve.
This bass, I think you'll agree, is a unique instrument crafted by a leading company in the field and worth every penny that a Fender P might command, and in my opinion is much more interesting.
I have this bass, I'd like to find a good home for it to someone serious about playing it and cherishing it like I have.
Please keep comments friendly and respectful
