I am the original owner of this instrument. In fact, this bass was featured in the Alembic catalogue as a Series I back in the late 1980's. I added red side LED's and upgraded to Series II electronics at purchase. It always had a 7 piece purple heart/maple neck so it was destined to become a Series II all along! Long scale 34" neck, oval inlays, gold hardware. Power supply and 5 pin cord, bookmatched top, back, and peghead. This Burl Maple is beautiful and the condition is near mint. Make me an offer I can't refuse. Asking 12k. Retail is more than double.IMG_0077.JPG IMG_0079.JPG IMG_0064.JPG IMG_0078.JPG IMG_0069.JPG IMG_0072.JPG

My warranty card shows date as Dec 21, 1989. Serial # 89-5697. Upgrade was done at time of purchase in 1990. It has a 34" long scale ebony neck with oval inlays.

Tuners and strap pins and locks are gold Schaller. Backplates and tailpiece is brass. Dual truss rods are perfect. The neck and frets are perfect as well. This bass was never my primary instrument so it is in remarkable condition. I took extreme care. Looks as good as the day it was shipped. Pierre, send me an email and I will send pix that you can zoom in.
