I am taking the plunge on a $15,000.00 Alembic, so I will be offering four of my Alembic basses so I can make a dent in the one expensive one. All are mint, or close to mint, and one is brand spankin' new old stock. They are as follows:
1. Mint Essence 4 string in a deep blue over incredible tiger maple, in original case. $1500.00 [SOLD]
2. NOS Rogue 5 string in zebrawood in original case with all paperwork. Never played. $3800.00 [SOLD]
3. Distillate body 4 string in birdseye maple with original Spoiler circuit and hardshell case. Close to mint. $1500.00 [SOLD]
4. Spoiler 4 string in birdseye maple in excellent condition with a replacement case. $1500.00 [RETRACTED] All play beautifully and sound fantastic. They are priced more than fairly for their condition and playability. Much better than anything on Ebay. You are buying from my personal collection, so they are all top notch. Email me at oib805@gmail.com for full photographs and specifications. Thanks, Trevor (Message edited by adriaan on January 01, 2015) |

Having sold the other three basses, I am going to hang on to the Spoiler for now. If anyone can't live without it, feel free to email me, but my thanks to all of you who are giving good homes to my beautiful basses. Trevor Lindsey |

Contrary to what the order of posts might looks like here I was not even able to respond with my intentional YES regarding the Distillate shaped Spoiler after asking for pictures. It had been sold to someone else within about a half hour while I was looking at the pics over lunch. Yes ___ WOW ! <lol |

Just goes to show that if you price Alembics well, they literally fly out the door. Man that's got to be a record for selling three basses. |

Yes, I knew I priced them on the low end for quick sale, but even I was surprised. They are going to all ends of the Earth. One local, one to the East Coast, and one to Europe. They are all superb instruments, so I guess it is no wonder. I apologize to the folks who missed out on the deals. As to the replacement $15K bass, it is an instrument that will fill the needs of my "geriatric" body. Fifty-one and I am falling apart! Since I can't see for crap any more, having LEDs in the bass will be wonderful. Also the Balance K should do wonders for my aching back. Even with all the fancy stuff, I am still going to have one of the more basic circuits. Later this year, I may be ordering an Alembic that will be a cumulative attempt at a dream bass. Spoiler body, Anniversary electronics, maple, ebony and bubinga neck laminates, Santo Domingan mahogany body core, zebra wood accent stripes, and a book matched Gaboon ebony top and back. Truly a sit down only instrument, but it should record like nothing else. |
