I posted a thread in the introduction section earlier, you can go read it there. I'm looking to part ways with my beloved Alembic Skylark 2002 in favor of a bass of same value (preferably Alembic but not obligatory). If no trade can be achieved, I might be convinced to sell for the right offer.

Contrary to my introduction thread, it was not in 2000 but in 2004 that I bought the guitar. I just found the information in my banking records. I can't get a hold on the invoice but I have the bankings records and everything. I had the guitar for roughly 10 years and I have loved and cherished it ever since. I have just found myself playing less guitar and more bass in the last years so that's why I'm looking for a trade (if possible).

You are most likely familiar with the characteristics of this guitar. As per the Alembic website, it is a quite a unique guitar. "With its extremely pure sound, the Skylark may remind you of an acoustic guitar. Tune the filter frequency higher and get enough highs to satisfy any appetite for crunch. Ease up on the highs by tuning the filter frequency lower and cozy up to clear warmth perfect for jazz. With such versatility, the Skylark is a guitar you can rely on as your own musical ideas evolve.

Comfort and playability are the hub of the Skylark’s design. The body features a large roundover on the back with a deeply carved tummy contour. The body hugs close and comfortably to your own." http://www.alembic.com/prod/skylark.html

The guitar has been cared for and stored in a smoke-free environment. The specifications are all original with only slight luthier work done on the bridge to repair a small issue with the little E string.

As I said, I would prefer to trade for a bass of same value but we can always discuss a direct sale if the offer is adequate. You can contact me by email at mrfreda@gmail.com for any questions or more details. Here are the specs and some picture of the beauty, please note it has a flame maple finish, it's in mint condition with no scratch or bumps and has been pampered and cared for over the years! I live in Montreal so I know shipping can be a hassle but we can surely come to some sort of agreement for appropriate shipping options if needed (I'll include the hard case for safety reasons).
