For Sale: 1980 Series 1, SN 1687. Maple front and back, mahogany core, 32” scale neck, maple with purple heart laminates, zebra front and back veneers on the headstock. Includes the power supply, cable and hardshell case. I swapped the original chrome tuners and strap pins for gold Schaller versions. The originals will be included. Everything works as it should and it sounds great! However, as it was put to me when I bought the bass, “this is a player’s instrument.” The bass has it’s share of knocks, dings and scratches. I’ve tried to capture them in photos for anyone that’s interested. $3300.00

Beautiful! If it were a fretless or a 5 string I would be on this. Best of luck with the sale.

Hey Toby,

I hope things are going well with you! It's a pretty cool bass, for sure. It speaks with the authority that only a Series instrument can. It'll make somebody happy.

Simply beautiful. If I didn't have my Series II, it would already on a delivery truck.
