My offer was accepted and the pickups are on the way. Now to decide where they will live. Initial thoughts are one of the following:

Les Paul Studio Pro Plus
Daion Power Mark XX
Matao Alembic-style

I'm also thinking they might fit nicely in my '72 Starfire IV. This is my first experience with the Alembic humbucker replacement; I've done several Strat and Tele installs where the Alembic controls fit in the same holes (on Strats I put a Q switch where the lower tone control was). Since many dual humbucker guitars have 2 V and 2 T pots, I wonder if I could hook up another Vol and filter so each pickup could be set individually, and still have the use of the master volume that's on the guitar? Similar to Skylark electronics, but with Q's instead on on/off/bright switches.

Just wonderin'.

Bill, tgo
