I hate to do this - This was the amp of my dreams for many years. It still is from a sonic standpoint, but a knee injury and a small touch of laziness means this amp has been sitting in storage for too long. This amp was at the 1990 (91?) NAMM show, and was purchased by Flynn Guitars there, and I bought it from them. Apparently the Trace guys were a little too overzealous in packing the truck, and the case was bent ever so slightly (you can see this in one of the pictures). This does not affect the sound at all. I would say I gigged with this amp less than 200 times in its life-time. Other than that, it's been babied, and mostly in storage. Comes with the original footswitch (I never used it - still has the cable tie on the cord), and the original instructions and catalogue. Sonically this amp is almost brutal in how powerful the graphic EQ is. I've never used an amp that is more responsive. It has the pre-shape option that automagically scoops your EQ profile. Think Tony Levin, Doug Wimbish, John Entwistle. That's what this amp does. It's a stereo or bi-amp capable amp. The black-light works, there are no missing slider tips or switches. The instructions show configurations with 4 1528 cabinets. That's 8 15's. Monster rig, anyone? That's also 4 ohms a side - so you could run this down to functional equivalent of a 2-ohm load. $600 + actual shipping. Please PM me if you're interested and outside the CONUS. I have extensive high-res pictures available via email too. Tom |
