Are the new ones really not dual voltage like this one in the auction? Isn't this overpriced? http://www.ebay.com/myb/Summary?MyEbay&gbh=1

DS-5R is no longer in production, and the new DS-6 will of course be switchable voltage, and have 2 5-pin inputs.

The new DS-5 (the little one) has switchable voltage.

I got a very rude response from the seller when I told him a new one could be bought for half of his price (it was listed at +/-$1200 at first)

That was before I asked Mica about the "discontinued claim" and got the above (DS-6) info.

He also had a Series I for sale at about top market price, which looked like it needed a lots of work on the electronics...
Also he had another Series I and offered both without a powersupply (he sold a blue box not long ago)

The rest of his auctions look very reasonable priced though, he also sold a very nice F-1x (old one with red knobs) for a very nice price ($399)

I would guess there are much more powersupplies than there are Series I/II basses, so a very limited market (maybe about 7000-8000 Series basses out there?)
So I think it will only sell if it's way below the price of a new one...

I'll wait for the DS-6 :-)

Have you seen my question about the possibility of some custom options on these Mica?

A seller that is rude to a potential customer, current or future, is not a smart seller and getting so defensive is a bad sign. I've seen DS-5R go for $3-400 but the switchable voltage thing is certainly used to mislead you.
Thanks for the clarification boys and girls :-)

Hey Mica, I'm intrigued by your DS-6 announcement! What are the 2 five pin inputs for, to run 2 instruments at the same time? Will they share the same bass/treble output jacks or each have their own?
