My '79 (though most likely almost unplayed) is in absolutely mint condition compared to this one, the finish on mine looks like it left the mothership yesterday. Not a big fan of the polyurethane finishes they used to use (at least I am pretty sure they are poly but I asked Susan about this back in 1987 so my memory of what she told me may not be accurate). Agree the price is a bit high in general and especially for someone wanting to send it back to Alembic for refinishing, bringing the electronics up to date etc. but an offer that ensures a quick sale for the seller may help bring the price down.
