It's been a blast - someday I'll get another Alembic!

James, we need to get together before the auction ends!!! I've never heard an Alembic guitar up close, and my first opportunity is about to disappear.

James brought this guitar by the house today. It looks much nicer in person than it does in the pictures. The Maple top is very nice. The picture has a lot of glare and makes it look red. But it's actually a very nice figured Maple. This was the first time I've heard an Alembic guitar up close; and I loved it. James showed me how the guitar can get a wide range of very nice tones; and I tried playing it myself, seeing the differences in the different tone settings (but since I don't play guitar, I wasn't able to do much more than that).

We played some together and had a very nice jam. James and I have a similar style and it was fun playing together. The sounds of the two Alembics blended together wonderfully!

Thanks James for bringing this guitar over and letting me hear it!

Hehe, the pleasure was all mine! So fun to meet you on the board Dave - and then realize we're only a couple miles apart, haha! My first opportunity to 'play' (held it in my hands and plunked it) an Alembic bass - wow, what a joy. But I really got an education today about Alembic basses and electronics - what a sound - and brought forth by a fantastic bass player. Folks, Dave has chops!
