Looks like a fine example but I am not sure if it is Walnut as suggested by the current owner. To me it looks more like Zebrawood. Take advantage of the low Aussie dollar AUS$2k equates to US$1400 and 1250euro. If he wont ship overseas get the guy to send it to me and I will forward it on for you. Can see some attempts at relocating the bottom strap lock from the pics. Its been relisted twice before. No one here in Oz appreciates the value. Go figure. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252100948414?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT slawie |

Yes the three times it has been posted it was listed at $2000 I guess the guy is holding out for the price he wants or nobody has made a reasonable offer. The dollar went down slightly today so the purchase value is better. slawie |

Slawie, That's a sweet looking Bass! From the pictures there looks like there might have been some stress at the neck headstock? Some minor personal bass preference issues would keep me from bidding on this(Emphasis on minor) But as a curiosity would you know what the approx. shipping costs would be from Oz to the States? Then ofcourse there is CITES. Arggg. Do like them Rogues! Pete |

Pete, I have never shipped a bass overseas so I really don't know shipping rates, I'll find out for curiosities sake. Just to get a ball park cost. The neck/headstock thingy looks to me like maple grain figuring. CITES would not bother with this bass no endangered species here. The wood could pass as Ash. The inlays are pearloid? Maybe? I am also a big rogue fan. I just don't have the two large to secure it. Slawie |

I remember paying $350 with DHL for a Warwick (in a gig bag!) from Indonesia. Express service, it arrived in 4 days, not sure if there were slower/cheaper services. From Australia should be similar. |

Anybody asked some questions to the seller? He's not replying to me, maybe he's not willing to ship? (But at least say it, too much work?) |

I asked some questions also and has not replied yet. Anything you want to ask? I asked for serial number and whether he is owner or flipper Probably will go for another round/relist not much interest here too many poor bass players and the economy sucks at the moment. slawie |

First and most importantly if he's willing to ship in US, then I wanted to ask the usual questions about technical conditions, if the electronic works properly, a close up picture of the relocated pin, from the pictures posted looks like a chunk of wood is of a different color, or maybe just optical effect. Maybe not answering questions is part of the problem why nobody is pulling the trigger? |
