If it's helpful to you, it seems to me that the pictures are a bit too large; they don't come close to fitting full screen on my 1024 x 768 monitor. So instead of reducing the quality to reach the size limit, you might try keeping the quality and reducing the size. If you glance around our site, especially in the Showcase section, you'll see many beautiful pictures of Alembics, all of which meet the size restrictions. I've taken the liberty of resizing and rotating one of your pictures, I hope you don't mind; I just think it makes it easier to view the guitar. The size of this picture is 60KB.

Kevin: While I would certainly consider a Tribute if it was a great deal, truth be told I'm a neck-thru guy. To me neck-thrus are to Alembic as 12 cylinder engines are to Ferrari. Also, I was never a big fan of the bat wings. Wolf was always my favorite of Jerry's guitars. Besides I'm hoping the Flaxman gets it so I have something cool to play the next time I visit NY (which will be very soon) and we get together for another jam. Are you listening Jeff? (...buy it...) This post (...buy it...)has a subliminal (...buy it...) hidden message (...buy it....). It is very subtle (...buy it...) and you may (...buy it...) not notice it (...buy it...) right away. But a (...buy it...) few re-readings should (...buy it...) help you to figure it out (...buy it...). nyuk, nyuk! Bill, tgo |

Actually 6000 is not what I said...I would like to get at least 5500. I know thats above what people are expecting to pay for a used alembic , but.... Its less than a year old, has barely left its case and Im not so ready to part with it that I'd be willing to lose 3000 bucks on it... I'm just putting it out here in case someone by chance wants to save some dough on a tribute i.e., a new one probably can't be bought for much less than 6800 (according to guitar rez, that's the lowest they would go on their brass plate backed model) and a new one after next month is going up 5% or so. So its a chance to save quite a bit of money on a guitar that's exactly the same as the one you'd be sent from a store and has probably been touched less as no customers come to my house, take it out of its case and play it michael |
