For sale: Alembic baritone electric guitar (Orion model) -- $3200.

If my information is correct, this is still available from Alembic as a custom order, with a price of about $6400. Mine was made in 1996, It is in excellent condition -- it has mostly been a "safe queen." This specific guitar was appraised at $5500, in current condition, by Elderly Instruments in 2009.

Again, I am asking $3,200 (i.e., 50% of the price to order a new one), plus actual cost of shipping by the carrier/method chosen by the buyer (and it will be superbly packed). I will certainly respectfully consider monetary offers, but no trades, please.

I am new to this board, but have 100% positive feedback on ebay as douglas1951, and longtime Charter Member status as douglas51 on the Acoustic Guitar Forum, where photos of my Alembic are posted here:

The photos are also available from me by email.

The guitar comes with a Fender hard case which fits it perfectly.

Quoting the Alembic website: "There are so many great uses for a baritone. It's a great tool for songwriters: work on leads and bass lines without shifting instruments. We can't think of a more perfect rhythm guitar. Layer on the effects and get prepared for some wicked tone. You never heard drop tunings sound so good." Also: "The gutsy baritone sound is an appropriate addition to all kinds of music, from country and blues, to grunge, heavy metal and pure rock and roll."

28-inch scale length

2 Alembic HG pickups (high-gain humbucking pickups)

three-position pickup selector

maple / walnut / mahogany body

3-piece maple neck with pearloid oval inlays

au Ferro fingerboard
