The seller is " The Boogie Man" . There have been threads on this site regarding his " un -coolness " . He sells what he claims are imitation circuit boards for Alembic Series instruments. He also sells power supplies as what he claims as good merchandise for Series instruments. There have been debates on this site regarding this .

OOPS sorry, I remember the threads about his gear and I didn't notice recognise the seller as the same person at all.

He seems to have 100% positive feedback on EBay for over 600 transactions.

What I don't understand is that he sells parts that have the Alembic logo on it, like the DSR5 currently on the US ebay. So are these genuine original parts? It very much looks like it.

He/She has always had some genuine used Alembic gear for sale. In the case of the DS-5R they state it is used. The same goes for the pickups where he/she says they are vintage Series pickups. I have never seen them lie as to which stuff is the Boogieman or which is genuine used Alembic.

My thought has always been the used items that are for sale were purchased by this seller with the sole intent of using them to help build copies (I.e., rip offs) of Alembic gear.

Brian , I think that you have a good point in theory. Your observations in theory make sense to me as well . We concur Sir. As a result I have personally decided not to do business with this individual. In addition I believe that when the "Mother Ship " expressed concern over his "so called " replacement electronics his actions were not conducive to cease from doing so, Furthermore it is my understanding that his correspondence was also not conducive to resolve any issues or concerns of Alembic Inc. I invite anyone to correct my statements here if they are incorrect. I write so with a smile .

Thank you very much :-)

If the guy is a jerk, I would not deal with him.

As far as copies go, you should check into the design of the F-2B (a fine unit).

Alembic is a great outfit and I doubt anyone could do what they do.
