I haven't seen many Distillates in really good condition going for less than $2,000 and some going for a whole lot more (now whether these expensive ones were sold or not is another question entirely). Although I've not seen it yet, I'm told by those who have, the maple in mine is quite spectacular too. I didn't pick it out or anything - really didn't want to, just sent a couple pictures of some classic Alembics that I really like to the ladies out there for reference. The density of the birds eye is intense which makes it nice to look at. Also the pickups have been replaced by newer ones and that's a plus. It's definitely worth at least $2k.
