Hello members,
I have a beautiful NOS mint condition Alembic Essence 6 string bass with upgrade matching back laminate. It is a 34" scale, weighs about 10lbs, and plays like a dream. The best sounding Essence I have ever had, by far. The neck carve is also not too chunky which makes it a joy to play. The top and back are figured bubinga, and the core is mahogany with maple accent stripes. Neck is quarter sawn maple and walnut. Comes complete with original hardshell case in superb condition, paperwork, strap locks, and tools. The bass was made in 1998, and has been in climate controlled storage since then. Total time capsule. Never sold or previously owned or registered. The action is slammed, and there is nothing it needs except a new owner. It is currently listed on Ebay as item # 322056558699. See auction for photos, or request them here. If purchased direct via the forum, I will sell it at a huge discount for $3,000.00. I can ship, and buyer pays only the actual shipping costs. This bass lists for over $10K now with the upgrade back.

My shop is in Southern California. This is truly the best 6 string Alembic I have ever had, and I have been a dealer and dedicated user since 1978. Bubinga is one of the best tone woods, and it really resonates and allows the low B to ring. It is very even in volume and tone all the way up the fingerboard on every string.
