I need a new/used case for my 5 string Europa. I bought the bass used a few months ago and had the guy buy a case to ship it in. I just noticed that a staple or something inside the case is rubbing on the bottom edge of the body. I guess I should have a case that was made for my baby. mike |

Maybe you could find out where Alembic get theirs made and get one from that source? I have one which came with my bass but when I start doing gigs with it I'll get a proper flight case made as I'm not a fan of those little clip type locks on the cases. I know you are in the states but I got my other flight cases made from www.flightcasewarehouse.co.uk they are in the UK and you can order on-line. They also have other non-flight cases and also used ones. I've had mine for just over a year and they have been on numerous tours and are still in great condition. Jazzyvee |

When my son went on the road, we coughed up the money for an Anvil brand transit case. They had drawings in stock for various Alembics, including his Europa 6, so a perfect fit with custom options was ordered over the phone (those things we used before getting hooked on the internet). This was about 5 or 6 years ago and the case was maybe $350, really not much more than a "normal" case. After 2 1/2 years on the road, his friends guitars looked like they had been used to chop wood, but his Europa had not a scratch on it. These instruments are beautiful and expensive, and for a little more money you can really protect it. This is no place to pinch pennies IMHO. |
