Hello-

So this is more of a feeler to see if anyone out there might have something to swap.

2004 Alembic Stanley Clarke Signiture Deluxe, Cocobolo top and back, Sig. Electronics, side LED's, Hardcase, short scale, etc, absolutely mint new, it has been played very lightly and never taken out of my home. Awesome bass, hands down the nicest and best bass I have ever owned or played period.

I am looking for a Europa 4 string or maybe a tricked out Essence + cash... I am open to selling outright, but it seems very tough to get what I have into this (or close to it, anyways) so I would rather trade it for what I want. That being said, please email me with any serious offers.

Thanks,

Andy

Email sent Bob.

I should add that I am a huge G&L SB-2 and Yamaha TRB6P fan and that I am open to some other trade + cash possibilities, so don't be afraid to email me with a reasonable trade idea for your 4 or 6 string bass.

Also, one small note, it has amber side LED's and yellow LED's for the 12th and 24th fret - which was a custom order by Bass NW, where I bought the bass new.

Thanks,

Andy

Here are my own pix:

Also, I would be open to basically any long upper horned Alemibic or some sort, so just give me an email...

Thanks,

Andy

At this point I am also considering upgrading to a Series I or II type bass or something in that league. Basically I could trade up or down with this bass +/- cash.

Thanks,

Andy

For me, the body design of the Stanley Clarke just doesn't completly work for me. As I have posted before, it is fine sitting down, but strapped on I can't make it work (no upper horn). I normally play Fender-style basses and wear them very high - so this just doesn't quite work. That being said, it sounds *perfect* to me and plays like a dream... It really is a dream bass and I love it in many ways, but for the money I would rather have the same feel and sound but in a more Fender-esque body style (i.e. the Europa, Rogue, MK, etc). That's all... I have had it for the better part of a year and that's just where it is at, but in the meantime it is a great bass to have around and play occasionally. I am thinking that ultimately I need to just have my dream Europa built for me...

Thanks,

Andy

Good explanation. As usual, if you can afford it, build the perfect beast.
