Dear All,
very heavy hearted but I must let my Spyder 8 go.
This is serial no. 8 (like 8string :-) ) of 25 total made.
It has the following features:
1.75 body thickness, flame maple top and back, walnut core, 7piece neck maple/purpleheart, 34īīlong scale, pointed headstock with gold gotoh tuners, oval mother of pearl inlays, brass bridge, single brass tailpieces, sterling silver spiderweb inlays, Anniversary electronics, red side LEDīs, deluxe case.
It has the classical string setup e/E a/A d/D g/G.
This is ideal for pick playing but also fingerstyle playing is really great with this setup.
----------------------------------------------------
I have this bass since October 2004 and was only rarely played compared to my Spyder 4 string. The condition is really great, no dings or scratches or buckle wear on the back.
I think many people in here know me and you can trust in my words. As said before, I have to do this very heavy hearted due to financial problems.
I donīt have a digicam so I could send you only a photo done with my mobile phone cam. If you are really seriously interested I will try to loan a digicam somewhere.
Official retail in 2005 for this was USD 13500.
My asking price is USD 8150 plus shipping.

Many thanks for your attention.

Hi, Oliver,

I am really kind of shocked to read your announcement to let the 8string go. I saw you and both of your Spyders in Düren during the first gig of WHO ARE YOU. Indeed, both Spyders are in exceptionally mint condition.

I cannot submit any reasonable offer to you, Ollie, (guess why :-)) although this Spyder really is a must-have. But I keep my fingers crossed for you, Oliver, and hope to see you soon, whether it will be here in the Rhein-Main-area or again in Düren. All the best,

Christian (the faker)

Christian, Guys,
sorry to confuse you but I am most confused at the moment.
I cannot part with this bass. It really hurts.
I have to solve my problem in another way.
So this bass is NOT FOR SALE.
Sorry guys if my mind twists around a bit.
Hope you understand me.

Yes, Oliver, you are easy to understand.... I too would have trouble parting with such an instrument. Here's to knowing you will find another answer to your problem.

Oliver,
I don't blame you for changing your mind. I would find it hard to part with some of my things as well.
