Well Gang, I really hate to do this but in a fit of resonsibility, I have decided that with the eminent arrival of my series II that I my three other Alembics' will just be collecting dust. They are all wonderful in their own right and I really want to keep them. However, I think it's a crime to let an Alembic live out it's days as pretty "wall art" and so to that end I am searching for good homes for all my "right brained" children. You can see them all in the Showcase section. They are:
'86 Distillate 4 in cocobolo, 32" scale
'98 Europa 4 in Superb Walnut 34" scale
'90 Elan 6 in cocobolo w/ purpleheart neck lams and chrome hardware. Please Email me at jlpicard@sisna.com for details.

Hey gang, any more takers? The Elan 6 and the Europa are still available. I'd much rather see them go to a club member than some stranger on Ebay.

I can't believe you are actually getting rid of those basses. Especially the Elan 6 w/those great neck lams. What a contrast from front to back! Absolutely stunning! Wished I was a lefty to try and obtain one of those beauties. I'm sure the Series II will be worth the loss. Take care Mike.

Trust me. It hasn't been easy to let go! Although selling a lefty is not as easy as it seems sometimes, not to mention a highend custom 6 string so I have a feeiling that this one may stay around for a while. :-)

JL if I had the money to buy your other two, I would have snapped them up in a minute! Also my lack of 6 string talent kept me away from the Elan. Best of luck, I'll be watching the auctions.
P.S. The Distillate is fantastic! It is settling into it's new home very well. Thanks again.

I'm very happy that you love the Distillate! I 've always felt that it has something special.
