Guys,
you remember my post some time ago that I wanted to sell my Spyder 8. I told you that I have financial problems which I tried to solve but it didnīt work and the situation is getting real critical.
I have no solution in this so that I have to sell at least one of my Spyders.
Believe me guys I am dying of this but I have no choice.
So if anyone is interested in this great pieces plse let me know. They are both in great condition and I am willing to give a good price.
I have never been in such an extreme situation but as said, I tried to solve it but it didnīt work.
Anyone serious interested send me a mail to: senmen@web.de or call at 01149-2421-35440

Many thanks for your understanding and your help guys

Sorry to hear that you're selling your beloved Spyders, Oliver. Hopefully, positive things will come around for you soon so that you don't have to sell them after all. I'd love to have 'em both, but I rather see you keep 'em. As you are the most ardent and fervent keeper of the JAE flame here, I wish you all the best.

Cheers,

Kevin

Kevin,
after my last post I had really tried to find a solution. The only ways at the moment are either selling Spyders or the still in the make Dragon Wing. It is hard but parting with the Spyders is the hardest for me.

Oliver,

there will be a way where you least expect it. Sounds silly in your current situation, but will turn out okay when you look back at it in just a few months... I am sure.

I am with you,

Christian,
thank you so much. I think I am also willing to let the Dragon go. Maybe less heavy hearted than the Spyders....

Oliver,

A bit of advice if you'll indulge me.

Alembic can always make you another one at a later date if needed. Don't feel as it is a huge loss, as hard as it is. I know you feel about your instruments as I do mine, but the truth is your situation, while painful, is most likely temporary (and I earnestly hope it is). If you have to part with one of your Spyders, you can always have one built later, or perhaps find one used. A new one would be more expensive given the price increases, but at least you'd have one.

If I were you I'd keep the Dragon's Wing. It's being custom made for you, and with your specifications. No other bass will be like it, and my view is that is what makes it special. However, I do, of course, defer to any decision you make in what must be a heart wrenching and difficult time for you. My heart goes out to you on this one. I know it would be difficult for me to part with any of my Alembics, but particularly the Spyder as it is/was the first brand-new Alembic I ever purchased. And we both know how they sound, play, and look.

In any event, I wish you the very best in this matter and hope that you are able to resolve it in such a way that you can keep both of your instruments. If not, I hope that this setback is only temporary and that you can set your finances straight and later acquire another Spyder.

Best regards,

Alan

Oliver,

That is sad news ...

I have to agree: the Spyders are relativ gesprochen replaceable.
