I recently coverted my rig to stereo. My mono pre-amp is an F1-X with an early 60's mullard tube in it. I'm currently using an aphex stereo preamp but i want to put an alembic pre-amp back in the front end. if you have any interest in this, my email address is in my profile. i'm open to suggestions, offeres, etc.

This is a "mix-and -match" setup that i've built up over the years. it's mostly driven by the fact that i need the ds-5r to power my basses. the bag end gets the neck pickup. it sounds big and beefy. plus it's relatively light. got it at a blowout sale at bassnw.
the peavey gets the bridge pickup. it's big and heavy but it sounded much better A-B'd against an eden 2x10 in the store. it's big and bulky and heavy as hell but sound wise it's pretty good. i'd like to have a bag end 2x10 to match the 18" cabinet in a perfect world but to be honest with you, this rig sounds pretty fricking amazing the way it is and so i'm hesitant jack with it much more at this point.

You could also do what others here have done...add another F-1X and make it a stereo pair...that way, you keep the effects loop(s), DI's and the active X-overs.

i thought about that, but i'd rather go with the F2-B. turns out there's a guy here with one for sale, stay tuned...F1-X and aphex soon to be featured on ebay.
