Here is a list of some of the items off the top of my head that I would be willing to sell to club members at the discounted prices listed. Cheap for youse guyz! What does not sell to club members, will be put on the block, and I will get paid more for the stuff for hassling with eBay - Ahhh!!!! Items in boxes - Price is for the raw drivers. Want the boxes? They are free to those that buy the drivers. Don't want the boxes? Don't ask for a lower price, as anyone who knows quality equipment knows these prices are far more than reasonable, and down right cheap for the items listed. Except: My Altec 604E speakers are the finest example I have ever seen, and the price listed is a bit under fair market value. I do not really want to sell them, but the price listed would do it. Serious buyers ask for pictures. I will supply them. Make sure you put Garage Sale in subject line, so I know it is not junk mail - I get so much of that stuff these days! tkshaw@maine.rr.com

Hey Paul, after you rob that bank, I ain't stuck up, I'll take socks full of Belgium francs! Or were you planning an international heist? If it spends, I'll take it.

Sunns are sold.
Small minty 4-space racks are sold.

I'll list more stuff as I run across em. Like the stuff inside of the racks listed!
Note that it is still tax season, and I will answer questions, send pictures, etc. as time permits me. I feel like Crazt Eddie! EVERYTHING MUST GO!!!!

Hehehe ...hi there Bro Frank!
Euro's ...Belgian Franks are history since some time!
Well ...IFF I had the money I would go for the Steinberger. As you know I don't collect guitars but I am merely after VERY specific sounds and characteristics of a bass.
Anyway ...I wish you good luck!

That Steinberger is really tempting me too... could you e-mail me the serial number whenever you get time? If it's a Newburgh bass, I'll try to find the money for it. Gotta represent the old stomping grounds, after all.
Apart from that, and in the interest of not giving you ALL of my money, can I try to hook you up with a few fans of the "Hobbit" Les Pauls?
E-mail coming...

Serial number 7274. It is of the proper run of these. It is an 89 or 90, as it is hard to tell without contacting Gibson support. Note that this has Bartolini pickups in it, and sounds better, IMO, than the EMG models do. If someone wanted to replace the pickups with EMGs from 89 or 90, it would not be hard. I like the way it sounds, as is. It is in great shape and of course has a straight neck - ya, that was a dumb joke - I have been up for 24 hours and need sleep . . . . .

Sure. I ain't stuck up. As long as they don't try and change the price, which I consider very low, or try to wangle me on free shipping and such trivials. Now, I MUST go to bed.

If anyone tries to talk you down on that price, they're too stupid to deserve that bass, let alone figure out the controls.
Sleep, and perchance I'll have news for you later.

I stick to the E-bay mantra: there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, there will always be another, ...

I too would love the Steinberger and the price is more than fair. I am sure the Bartolini pickups are an improvement over EMGs for making it sound more like a wooden bass. It's just not going to happen for me.

Someone is going to get a fabulous instrument there.

Good luck with the sale, TK!

The "Hobbit" thing is from another forum. Dunno where it came from--I was too busy playing my Alembic to be privy to that conversation--but it's used in reference to the short-scale LPs with the lovely low-impedence pickups suck as the '69 T's selling.

Eden Travler is being held - Probably sold.
Forgot to list my Peterson strobe rack tuner.
Some of this stuff can be seen on this thread, including raw drivers and the Peterson. It is just prime, and I will put a $375 tag on it - EVERYTHING MUST GO! http://alembic.com/club/messages/411/13368.html?1105072711

I am trying to keep up with questions and sending pix, but I have to take off to the office now for yet another all-nighter. Three mo weeks and things will start to settle down a little. Sooner or later I will load my truck up (not for sale - yet!) and take all this stuff to my friends house and he will be handling the eBay hassles. Then Crazy Eddie can retire and let the mellow times roll. Off to the grind. Hey Bob, you want something, yer credit's good with me. Take yer time.

OK, the flag has gone up on the Gibbie, and I'll be filtering out the schmucks and putting you in touch with known quantities who are likely to give the bass a good home. Be warned, at least one of them is Canadian, so speak slowly.
Sell the Steinberger to Bob. Please.

Hey Flax:

Send me some of that cash you are printing up in your basement, would ya??

That was a really tempting bass, but even at that price it would have been too expensive once you got it delivered over here!!

Nice catch!

God I love those old Recording basses! They have a nice warm tone. I actually ordered a lefty from Gibson back in 73' (technicaly, I guess that makes it a LP Triumph bass)and I got no response from them for about 6 months so I got my deposit back. About a year later I got this letter in the mail saying that if I still want the bass ,they were ready to make it!! By that time I had lost interest and bought a 73' Burgandyglo Rick 4001 which was much easier to find in a lefty. In retrospect I wish I had ordered the lefty LP as it would have been one rare beast! I was told by Gibson that they would not retool an existing NC router for a run of lefties. Instead they wait untill they have enough orders to warrant the purchase of a new machine. So much for handmade!?

Yo Bill, which ones? Probably the orange and black D-120Fs, rare and prime babies. If you have a twin, these are the ones! For you, less than others would pay. Let me know what you want Bill. We'll work something out. E-mail me.

People have wanted to actually see some of the stuff I am selling - go figure?! OK, I had a bit of time today, so here are some group shots of stuff. I did a freebee for the company picnic and played Mr. DJ - A job I detest! But, ya gotta do stuff ya don't like every once in a while. Some of the stuff I am selling is in these pix, some ain't. eBay is coming next Sunday to probably gobble up what is left.

Mix

BBQ 001

BBQ 002

BBQ 003

BBQ 004

Altec Horns

Some of the stuff is dusty from sitting idle for years. I hurt my leg unloading one of the Guass bottoms, and I am just too old to mess with this stuff any more. I spent a whole month working from my living room, scooting around in an office chair - no thanks! This is all the time I have today. I promised several people I would get their neat-o buys packed today and shipped tomorrow. So I have to get to packin. EVERYTHING MUST GO!!! Last week for Crazy Eddie, folks. Next week it will be insane eBay. Not my problem - Thanks Norm!

Oh, for a size comparison in these pictures, it is a touch over six feet from the ground to the edge of the blue tent. That should give you some concept of size for this stuff.

Hey Guys, the Big Garage Sale is over. All items that did not sell are being packed up and taken to my friend's house to be put on the block. Thanks for playing, and you all take care.
