There's a Wenge Rogue 5 listed for sale on bassgear.com. The seller states it has been upgraded to Signature electronics. Has some dings in the front finish [clip those nails, you slappers!].

Kind of an odd description, did you get pictures? The description makes it sound like it is a combo of Signature electronics plus the quick tone switches, but it's hard to read.

I saw some pics. Ít isn't the prettiest Alembic, but it'll do till the Dragonfly gets here. It has Signature electronics with the quick tone switches, which is basically what I was going to order before I decided to go with the SII package. It should be here Friday or Saturday, since he's shipping it COD (sweet) and I have the 1st rehearsal with a new project on Sunday, so It will be here right on time. I am a little concerned about the size of the neck, but at this price figured I couldn't go wrong. Timothy, major thanks for the heads up!

Seems like a really nice price for a bass with that electronics package. I am looking forward to the photos.

Well, it turns out the USPS won't do COD on over a grand, so pics will have to wait a few more days. :-(
We could have used FedEx or UPS, but the Post office is half a mile from my house, and they'll just hold it for me until after work rather than keeping it on a truck and me having to drive 45 minutes to a warehouse.

On the bright side, though, that means the strings I ordered will beat it here. It's strung EADGC now, with steels, and I don't roll like that. :-)

It's here. The Post Office called me at 6:18 AM to tell me it was here, and that if I wanted to come by before they opened to just knock on the door. Gotta love small towns.

How do you like the Signiture electronics + the quick change switches? Just curious...

Definitely glad it's set up like that. So far, I'm using it all. The tone switches are so cheap to add that I'd definitely include them on a Signature instrument. The bass switch pretty much stays boosted, and the treble varies depending on which pickup I'm using and whether I'm using fingers or a pick. OTOH, I can see how it'd be OK with just 1 filter, as I'm finding myself using them pretty close to each other. It's nice not having to fidddle with it or compromise between the two, though.

One complaint I have is that with the bass boost and q switches activated, It's clipping the onboard preamp with the trimpots over 50% when I dig in on the E string using the bridge pickup, so I'm loosing some potential gain from the neck pickup to balance the outputs. 18 volts would be nice.
