Mica, do you have a build record on this bass? Looks like the serial number is 98 11488. What kind of "wood grain" is this bass anyhow?

Hello Nate,

It looked legit enough. Another member had put in an early bid. Of course, communication with the seller is the best way to confirm an auction.

Actually, this bass was reported stolen on March 27, and we promptly posted the serial number on the website.

A kind soul phoned in the tip on March 28 that he thought the bass on ebay was on the stolen list (though the serial number was partially obscured). We contacted the rightful owner of the bass immediately.

We’re happy to report that the bass is now in police custody, soon to be returned to the rightful owner.

Mel, if you’re reading this, please give me another call. I should have gotten your phone number when you called in the tip, but I guess I was too excited from the thought of immediate recovery.

wow, that's awesome!
I looked at the sellers completed auctions, and they've been selling a steady stream of random stuff that appears to be provided by an army of tweakers.
hopefully other stolen materials will be recovered and returned to their owners.
like that night trap video game and the leather chaps.
