"The Alembic Club was the successor to the Science Club and the Journal Club. The Journal Club was founded on 25 January 1901 by faculty and students of the University of North Carolina Dept. of Chemistry. Meeting twice monthly from 1901 through 1921, the Club discussed research articles published in scholarly journals. Presentations of members' research work was also encouraged. In 1924, the Club was reorganized to include members from all physical science departments on the campus. This new organization was first named the Science Club, then the Alembic Club. Records of the Alembic Club include membership lists and meeting minutes of the Journal Club, 1901-1921, and meeting announcements and correspondence, 1924-1928, of the Science Club and the Alembic Club. Also included is the constitution of the Science Club."

The same seller also is offering "Dictators of the Baton" for $4.95.
Hmmm... sounds familiar.
Any takers?

Bill, tgo,
I think Dick Tator and Phil Harmonic gigged in Bataan with I. Amin in the '60s before he changed careers.

If it were "Experiments on HOT air", I probably would have thought it was about us, but otherwise I doubt it.

Note that the author is Henry Cavendish; whose name should be familiar but not from our Alembic Club.
