This person claims that:
"This is one of the most spectacular instruments I have ever owned, given to me by the owner of Alembic guitars himself."

Well, I can believe the first part. Anybody know about the second?

What if I lived in Santa Rosa and GAVE you an Orion. . . Would you believe Santa Claus had been putting in overtime and parked the reindeer outback? Would you question the authenticity of the caribou dung on my boots? Having known Ron to be mistaken for the big man himself, it would add even more credence.

For some reason I am given to doubt, but it is a oddly funny and mildly improbable description.

If you lived in Santa Rosa, and GAVE me an Orion, I think you would be my new best friend. :-)

I thought Alembic didn't give away instruments.

Well, it looks like they didn't to this guy. The description has been "revised" and now says nothing at all, other than "condition: used".

I still see the text stating it was given to him by the owner of Alembic guitars.

The description text does still seem to be there - white (or light grey) text on the black background with photos. Odd that some cant see it.

Boy, that's weird. None of the description showed on my home computer, but I see it now on my office machine! It's probably has something to do with the fact that I'm using a newer version of Netscape as the browser on my office computer than the Netscape version at home. So, as to my previous comment, let me pull an Emily Latella: "Never mind".

People are still using Netscape out there? Mac OS 8 perhaps?

There are modern versions on Netscape, you know! (they are based on the Mozilla project.)

Of course, smart people use Mozilla Firefox. Once you've tried tabbed browsing and adblock, you'll never go back.

Gotta love Firefox. There are lots of great extensions.

I thought Alembic didn't give stuff away too.

Maybe he got it on a visit to Alembic ,and it was handed to him by the owner of Alembic personally after he paid for it. ;-)
