Curt: The blaster is a wonderful little device that really adds a LOT of punch to a stock strat. I doubt it will stay at $40. These go new for $95 from Alembic, so there is still room for a bargain. If you get one, I doubt you will be disappointed. I had one on my '61 Strat for many years, until the guitar got so valuable that I essentially put it back to stock. Good luck!
