Hey Folks, Due to severe financial burdens I am forced to sell an amazing piece of toneful art. If interested please call me at: (773) 865-7899 or email at: esittner@hotmail.com I am in Los Angeles and would love to have someone that is seriously interested come by and play her for themselves. I am so torn and angry at the fact that I must sell. I want to see her go to someone that will love her and play her. That's what she is here for, and she has a lot to give... Specs: 7-piece body *Ziricote top/Maple/Purpleheart/Mahoghany/Purpleheart/Maple/Flamed Walnut back 7-piece neck *Flamed Maple/Purpleheart/Maple/Purpleheart/Maple/Purpleheart/Flamed Maple Crown Headstock w/ Ziricote top and Flamed Walnut back Gold-plated hardware Abalone Inlays Series II Electronics (obviously) w/ 2 tone filters, 2 separate volumes, 2 continuously variable Q knobs, 4-way pickup selector, and master volume knob Has both 5-pin (power supply included w/ cable) and the 1/4" input jacks Red side-mounted LED's 34" Scale length Serial Number: 97 10646 USA As you well know, according to the custom quote page, a beast like this today with these specs would yield a price tag of $18,500.00 direct from Alembic. It also appears that Ziricote is no longer an option (?) I'm hoping for a humble and fair-priced, $6,999.99... I've gotten several calls already and multiple emails. I can't believe I'm really going to sell! I'm sure I will kick myself in the pants later... I've revised the original post. Once again, would like to see this go to a player and someone who would respect her and admire her for all her beauty and glory. Truly, a fine piece of art with an incredibly succulent tone. I'm already jealous of the potential buyer! |

dwmark, I'm sorry, I don't understand what you are asking. How am I selling? Why am I posting here? I figured I'd give die-hard Alembic fans the first viewing and opportunity to purchase, rather than dumping immediately up on ebay or instrument exchange, etc. I see people talking here a lot about how they wish they could get their hands on a Series II 5-string. Also, this is NOT the bass from the link above. As you can see, that bass had a heart-omega cut-out, wider string spacing, Ziricote top AND back, and what appears to be black (tahitian?) oval inlays. |

Eric Just joking. I got the sense you had a lot of interest here and a lot of people waiting to hear what it was going to take to do a deal. I'll lay off the humor and let you get to business. dw |
